Meet Mani Sankar Bellamkonda, a third-year BDS student at SIBAR Institute of Dental Science, Guntur.

He came from a humble background. His father is a watchman at a departmental store and his mother is a homemaker and differently-abled. Despite these hardships, Mani has always been passionate about pursuing his dream of becoming a dentist. He has worked hard to secure admission to one of the best dental colleges in the state and has maintained excellent academic performance throughout his course.

Achievement

Not only that, but Mani Sankar has also shown remarkable research skills and creativity. He recently received the prestigious Dr. Koneru Anil Kumar Memorial Gold Medal – Best Research Activity award for his research topic ’Effect of diode laser and self etch adhesive on the shear bond strength of nanohybrid resin composite to human dentin’. This is a remarkable achievement for any student, let alone one who faces so many challenges in his personal life.

When Financial Constraints Threaten Education

However, Mani Sankar’s dream is in danger of being shattered due to financial constraints. He needs Rs 53,000 for this academic year to pay his tuition fees and other expenses. Without this support, he may have to drop out of college and give up on his aspirations. This would be a huge loss not only for him but also for the society that could benefit from his skills and talents.
