Diwali, the festival of lights, is one of the most important and joyous occasions for millions of people in India and around the world. It is a time to celebrate the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance. It is also a time to express gratitude, share happiness, and spread generosity.
However, not everyone is fortunate enough to enjoy the festivities of Diwali. Many children in India face poverty, hunger, illiteracy, violence, and discrimination every day. According to UNICEF, India is home to over 444 million children, which is one of the world’s largest child and adolescent populations. However, many of them suffer from poor health, nutrition, education, and protection.
The under-five mortality rate in India is 30.6 deaths per 1,000 live births.
Only 86.5% of children attend school in India.
Only 5% of hearing impaired children in India get basic schooling and 1% of the total deaf population has access to quality education in the country
These statistics are alarming and heartbreaking. That is why, this Diwali, we urge you to join us in celebrating Diwali by doing charity.
Help is our main goal:
This Diwali let’s join hands to donate for children and bring a smile to their faces. Pennam Foundation- a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a better world through innovative philanthropic programs that focus on empowering individuals and communities. At Pennam Foundation, we are dedicated to assisting those struggling locally and globally through our various causes and initiatives. Our causes range from providing basic needs such as food, shelter, and medical care, to providing educational opportunities and empowering communities to become self-reliant.
Bring light to someone’s life- Donate Today
You can either donate yourself directly to the foundation or organize various fundraising activities. The profit generated out of this can be used to donate towards the cause of providing quality education to the hearing impaired, medical treatments for the needy, fulfilling educational dreams, supporting children of Nethra Vidyalaya, and helping the elderly with a better life.
So, this Diwali, let’s join hands and bring light to someone’s life.
Whatever you decide to do, you can be sure that your day of charity will make a difference and leave you feeling fulfilled.
